McDonald's Czech Republic is seeking a skilled Communications Consultant to lead external communication strategies, manage media relations, and execute impactful campaigns aligned with our brand. You will oversee press office activities, organize events, support crisis communication, and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
This role offers the opportunity to drive strategic communications, develop key relationships, and contribute to the company’s values and global goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement external comms strategies for brand.
- Coordinate relationships with media, journalists, and key partners.
- Coordinate the press office, including press releases, media inquiries, statements, PR materials and Q&As.
- Efficiently cooperate with agencies, stakeholders and partners.
- Execute communication campaigns, programs and activations.
- Organize press conferences, events, and media meetings.
- Stay updated on the latest industry techniques and methods.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and cross-department teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
- Support crisis communication efforts and manage sensitive issues effectively.
- Support the strategies and main projects within the company´s values and global goals.
- Oversee the budget for press office activities and campaign needs.
- Handle cricis communication and reputation management.
- Respond to customer service issues in a timely manner.
- Create communication manuals to prevent possible issues
Requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in both PR, Communications (having both agency and in-house experience will be a plus) and media relations
- Relevant experience in media relations, crisis communications and events management
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Advanced multi-tasking skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Analytical skills (media monitoring, trends, comm. campaigns outputs)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (and customer service software will be a plus)
- Outstanding Czech and/or Slovak written and verbal communication skills
- English – min. Upper-Intermediate level
- Excellent interpersonal skills & strong team spirit
